i work on a golf course 2 miles from allaire and the ground is wet. the problem is the ground is frozen underneath and the top 2 inches is beginning to thaw. it should get better later in the week, I can update again thursday.

Looking at the weather id say thursday morning would be a good day to give it a try. I think i plan on thursday morning. If its still to wet or not frozen enough ill jsut head back home. lol

Heres to praying wednesday nights low of 25 is enough to freeze it back up.

if it stays dry the rest of the week we might be fine for Friday.
as always if the trails are too wet ride thru the center don't widen the trails and show up in march to help out and give some love back.
This is for all the trails not just Allaire but all the trails that give us some much joy.

Kirts gonna kick your ass, now return the dirt say 3 hail Marys, and attend all of his tm sessions.

I'm part of a re-location project. I take dirt from Chimney Rock and then ride my bike down Vosseller Road to the D&R canal, I'm trying to make it so I don't need to hit pavement when I ride from my house 🙂

trails

the trails seemed great Tues. they were a little soft speed wise. I met a guy yesterday riding a black rocky from Breachwood bikes that said as he liked to hold speed he would stick with the trails on the west side of the park. It starts as blue. With local knowledge its easy to avoid trails and areas that are in jeapordy as well as taking it a little slower around turns etc..Of course 100 bikes in the parking lot on Sat may change things.....

Thursday DP

Fun, frozen but not super fast this morning. A bit crunchy but no soup. This freeze was crucial but will be shortlived. Maybe Saturday morning early, low of 25?? It was nice to be outpaced by a wild turkey this morning, quite humbling!:drooling:

i rode today and the trails are in good shape, even tiga hood.
there are very isolated soft areas, nearest the p.lot, but other than that the ground is dry.
all in all allaire is holding up well with some minor rutting on the trails, but looks to be in good shape.

Seriously Frank what's going on. Is the dome out for service?

I think the dome is being retrofitted for the Tuesday night rides..come on out in the spring..
but as we did not get any rain this week I guess it is still in place 🙂
