Thanks for this. Not sure why but I was under the impression they were on the other side of Vosseller. I was tagged multiple times at NOX on Sunday and I’m really not relishing another encounter.😳

Quick ride this afternoon. Avoided the 🐝 by hopping on the road for 30 seconds 😊. Larry Bird is settling nicely. We’re developing braking bumps in the 300° berm (cuz people don’t know how to ride berms)🙄.

Today’s trail side Haul, now there’s small arms shells too. 🤬.

There is no need to touch the brakes on that berm..

Also this:

More of the same today. Slow moving as we dodge stingers. @snashters wasn't so lucky.

We made it around the big berm on the basketball 🏀 ct trail. W need a bit of rain to pack it in, but the result looks promising.

Saw a large number of surons. None would venture near us while working but they could be seen in the distance.

They know they are up to no good.. otherwise they would approach us while digging.

Give these guys a pieces of your mind if you see em.

Tell them you are calling the cops. And they are not welcome here.

Thanks to the riders who stopped to help a bit today.

Those who promised to join JORBA and say they are following our efforts., today is the day.

No bees for me today, but I saw a young kid get stung. They were playing in the creek at Gilbride. He was freaking out. His parents were there so....Trails are great! Thanks

I seent the Surron kids riding back home on Washington Valley during my commute home. 2 of the kids actually had on motocross or DH gear of some kind so that’s an improvement.

The beekeeper suits and continued mentions of stings aren’t filling me with enthusiasm, as much as I would like to check out all of the awesome trail work.

This is a bunch of fathers with their kids/bad all around. I’m not sure that Kirt has ever seen me scream so loud at anybody.

For those who haven’t seen them, this is what they appear to be riding. A head on collision with one of these guys at speed could end very badly. You certainly would not hear them approaching. This is far more I impactful than any pedal-assist ebike.

I was there on Saturday and didn’t see any bees. Are they up on that top section near the fence?

Unfortunately the general public doesn’t see a difference between any of the e-bikes. A Surron and a Shuttle are the same thing. And they’re not entirely wrong.

Generally you won’t see them as a solo rider , but if you are the 2nd or later in a group your chances are better of getting stung. We found three large ground hives within a 1000 ft section. One produced the largest swarm I’ve seen this summer. @Kirt now keeps a bee suit in his car full time.

Saw a crew of 4 kids on these yesterday pulling out of the lot onto chimney rock rd. At first glance I thought they were dirt bikes but they were super quiet!
