Camelback leak?

I have two identical camelbak bladders that are about 2 years old. I am getting a leak from this area on both of them. But the leak is inconsistent. Some days no problem, other days drip drip drip which wets the bottom of the pack. I have swapped the hoses, cleaned the o rings, ensured that the hose is seated. Can’t seem to figure it out. Anyone have this issue and, short of 🔥 and buying new ones that will likely have this issue again (my original (non detachable) bladder worked fine for years) and what was your fix?

Reach out to camelbak. They might send you a new unit. They have had pretty good support in the past.

Fire, new bladder…

I have the same issue, I think it’s just the quick release randomly getting moved around when you put the bladder back in the pack. I just got a new MULE so we’ll see how long until this one leaks.

do you guys use these quick releases all the time? bc i have a mule that i purchased in early 2018 that doesnt leak, but i also dont disconnect the hose very frequently (basically only when it needs to be washed)

Thanks for the input. I don’t disconnect it often. The o ring looks fine. I left if over night without the hose and it didn’t leak. I put the hose make in this morning and so far it isn’t leaking. It’s very inconsistent/unpredictable. 🤔 I read that some food grade silicone in the o ring is a good idea I’ll try that next once I find some. When it leaks, it comes from the interface between the receiver and the housing, not between the hose and the receiver. The latter scenario would indicate an o-ring issue. The cause for the former scenario however is a mystery. That’s what I’m trying to solve.

I disconnect mine at every use; it’s a Hydrapak brand. They ship all bladders with grease and I apply a light film every so often (it gets stiff to insert). Some of my bladders are 2018 timeframe and still good. Here’s what I bought on Amazon and have been using it for 6 months plus:
