So what's this course like? Never raced the old Bubblecross races, and wasn't able to make any of the practice sessions. Hilly? Techie? Off cambererererie? sprinty? Just wondering.

Beachy, dirty, twisty, hilly, and rocky. There's not an insane amount of elevation, but they use what they have for sure. For the sections of the course, they also make good use of the long beach there and there is a steep up/down section in the woods that the mountain bikers will love. It's gonna be a fun course.

I think this was moved to Wawayanda last year and it included a pavement section leading to an off-camber hill section before going into the woods (rocks and roots), down a steep hill, around a ball field, etc. then onto the beach, so a good distance in sand, more grass near the lake, back to pavement and the start/finish. I don't remember much elevation.

Much shorter laps than Marty Cross if I recall correctly.

Yeah, did "Crossnado" last year.... fun with the woods and sand.

back at bubbling springs this year, from resident @BiknBen

Gonna watch this later, thanks!

only the second part of the sand sucked really bad, the rest was okay.

oh man i remember that race with lance, that dude was hawking him down and we were yelling furiously at him to get his ass together, that was exciting

Wow - everything about this event was amazing. Absolutely loved the course, the conditions were perfect, the racing was great and results were posted in record time. Heck somehow a video was posted within 12 hours of the race finish!

Will definitely add this on the calendar for next year. Can't wait to get back.

Nice job @Mountain Bike Mike today grabbing the second step on the podium!!
Here's the video from prologue and first full lap. Mike over cooked the turn around the gazebo and took out the tape. Great job fighting back!

Thanks Dan, nice meeting and racing with you and great video... In that first part of the lap, I was running P3 or P4 into the off camber / gazebo turn and just messed it up. I wish you would've caught it happening... I went spinning on my ass like a tilt-a-whirl off the course. I buried myself the rest of the race trying to get back to that spot and then once I over took third, I thought of @stb222 's theory of Lions and just try to out run the Lion chasing me.

Super course. Great event. Thanks Team Town Cycle & ProPower for a fun fun course. I look forward to this event every year and so glad to see it back at the Bubble.
