Bring a Trailer - OMFG or On Topic

I don’t get it, I’m totally missing something. You paid $170k for an ugly SUV (not even a V8) that’s slow, handles like shit, has known rust issues, and a 1990s interior.
Me either and in this case its a toyota, its not like its something they made 3 of and you have never seen in person,
agreed, to me its a little silly that this happens with fairly common vehicles....When its a Ford GT or something, ok I get it slightly more (only slightly bc i'd be driving the car). But its like the star war figures in the package still....some people just love it. How many plane jane fox bodies have we seen now top 100K just bc they were still brand new? Just makes no sense, but whatever....People love VW beetles, go figure

The Beetle and Microbus thing also baffles me. Why would you want something with a lawnmower engine that can’t even get up to 65mph? These things were originally designed to be the cheapest of cheap transport, and they literally made 40 million of them. I think you’re taking your life into your hands if you try to merge on Rt 80 or 287 with one. I mean, unless you LS swap one, but then could the chasis handle that kind of twist?

Geo metro could take them down! Amhik.

As I was telling Utah previously after driving the one my friend has, they're kind of neat, simple and I don't drive on any highways or go past 55mph so it'd be a stupid/cheap/silly extra car.

Except they're not cheap. I can buy a side by side for cheaper that probably goes faster and handles better.

If you ever happen to be in Sarasota....the Sarasota Classic Car Museum has one. So cool! I think the theme to this museum was homologated cars...which are always pretty interesting.

I'll be in Sarasota in the spring!
TY.
