Bosch Monterra Speed Sensor Question

Loving the bike so far, but was wondering if it's possible to install another speed sensor? The spoke mounted sensor seems, to me, kinda vulnerable to being dislodged.
Dug around some on the Bosch site and it looks as though they offer a few different sensors for the Smart System and was wondering if they're swap out and in or would something have to be re-calibrated.
Or am I worrying about a "not gonna happen" ?

Thanks!

If you are referring to the spoke magnet on the rear wheel, it’s nothing to really worry about. I did have a vine rip the sensor off the swing arm one day, but the plastic bracket just opened up and I was able to snap it back together. I haven’t had an issue since.

The rim mounted sensor is cleaner and perhaps worth investigating as an upgrade.

If for some reason that wheel mounted magnet gets hit, the bike will suddenly act super clunky and it won't respond well to your pedal imput. I know this as I saw one get knocked down the spoke after catching on a stick a few weeks back on a friends bike.

EB11.200.015 Is the rim mounted magnet that cam on my bike

I am not certain that you can simply add this and I will find out if it is interesting to you.

Thanks Jas.

I found this while looking into it .... "Original Bosch rim magnet for mounting on the valve of your e-bike tire. Via the sensor magnet, the system determines important driving data about your e-bike. With the Smart System, this is now possible for the first time without an additional speed sensor. The data is measured directly in the motor. The rim magnet is therefore essential for the correct functioning of your Bosch e-bike. The magnet can be mounted on all common valve types "

and this .."Systems - Bosch Active Line from 2024 Smart System, Bosch Active Line Plus from 2024 Smart System, Bosch Cargo Line from 2022 Smart System, Bosch Performance Line CX from 2022 Smart System, Bosch Performance Line CX Race from 2023 Smart System, Bosch Performance Line from 2023 Smart System, Bosch Performance Line Speed from 2023 Smart System, Bosch Performance Line SX from 2024 Smart System"

I'm thinking it's worth trying it out. The parts needed are easy on the wallet.
