Had my first run on the "lifted" yak. Went to Shepard Lake in Ringwood. It was more unstable than I had hoped and the seat turned out to be really uncomfortable after 2 hours of fishing. I managed to stay up until I tried to get fancy and back paddle onto the boat launch. Flipped in a foot of water and broke one of my rods.raising CG by 10" might give a fish enough leverage to pull you over!
Gotta say i like the "maker" work here.

This is true!
i'd recommend never giving up a trailer plate - just stick it on the next trailer.
assuming same amount of axles, who'd ever know. not that i've done that
I've gone through 3 trailers with 1 plate.I think I went thru 3 plates on our trailer. Super easy to get a new one
