Figured with the season opening up we needed some vids for motivation.

More about the trail in this clip than the actual riding (although it's good and the videography just as good if not better). Love how the trail is all organic in areas - like Mom nature put landings there herself

Tom Dugan - this little skinny punk can ride a bike. Reminds me of Aitken.

Things I really like about this vid: no music or fancy camera/edit crap, the dumped 360 drop @ 2:07, the sound of tires on plywood and the freewheel, big lines with some tech thrown in

Thing I don't like about this vid: the slams - OUCH - good thing that kid weighs less than his bike

Bush League clips. Looks like some kids from BC found some old FBM and Little Devil vids.

Clint Reynolds is a weirdo from New Hampshire - but in the best way. Saw this kid rip Catty a couple of years ago and thought his section in Anthem II was best. Love his DIY style of doing shit. Those trails in Austin must be bonkers - when shit takes your breath away in a vid I can only imagine what it's like in person.

Never in my wrong mind would I ride brakeless. I don't get it. Is it a fad/cool thing to do or these guys just don't give a fuck about saving someone else's life (say some civilian steps out a door or blind spot and gets nailed by this guy) or even their own?

i never understood the brakeless thing either. It is definitely a fad in my opinion (just like mens skinny jeans) and I think it's just about saying you are ballsy and also i think they use the "skateboards dont have brakes" excuse. The pros are good enough where they can ride brakeless but then the stupid kids immitate them and that's dangerous. No helmets for BMX i also dont understand but that's a whole nother argument.

Thanks for posting don, good stuff as usual. That hip is craziness.

A combination of factors has kept me from the trails for the most part but a squabble between some of the riders may see the place fall apart. Your stuff looks good.

Yeah, it's one of those fads that I just wish would stop. I think it came about years ago when broke kids from Brooklyn would ride street and kept breaking cables or got sick of cables tangling on bar spins. Or maybe it's a weight thing. IDK, I think it's not smart save for a very controlled environment like a private park or remote street zone where the tricks are slow and tech. I cringe when I see a kid roll up at the trails with no brakes (typcially acting like he owns the joint attitude) or where they can barely manual at the park but hauling ass brakeless.

I was actually just reading a good post on PAWoods about trail scene dying and brakeless kids: http://pawoods.com/2012/04/11/clarify/
