Bad Driving

You have a wife and kids, if you love them you'll leave Union!

Since I live in a geriatric tourist town it's pretty scary how often I see someone driving the wrong way down a road. Usually it's slow and they figure it out pretty quick, but surprisingly happens often.

FTFY

believe me iv been trying to gtfo of union county for over 3 years now. The reason we havent left yet is bc the wife is delusional about it and fighting me. something about mortgage rates and home price inflation and 'we have time before the kid starts school'

more goodness, at least this incompetence is not on public roadways

a couple more for your pleasure

and here i thought law enforcement was supposed to set the example for the rest of us, apparently not. (not really sure what cranford PD was doing in this location, maybe a dount run? 🙄 )

No video or pictures todays ahole driver happened during my lunch road ride.

School bus approaching the opposite way with yellow lights flashing on a two lane road. Bus driver waves us by and then deployed the Stop sign and red lights. Driver behind us stops. Driver behind that driver goes AROUND the one that stopped and passes the school bus and ends up right behind us. Everyone within a 5 car proximity was blaring their horns including the bus driver. 🤬😤

Tried to snap a pic of the car and plate but it came out blurry. Called the local PD after my ride and the desk seargent told me that having a plate number would be great but it’s not needed. Since 2-3 years ago all township school buses have video cameras activated automatically by the flashing lights she will 100% be getting a summons in the mail.

Then I come home and read about the hockey players. Ugh.

@Carson how much did this ones laziness cost him? i know its hard to see but there were definitely red/blue flashing lights in the rear view right after this happened

I've had that occur multiple times leaving and returning to my neighborhood.
Notable leaving: minivan pulls up next to me (I was at the stop line as pictured, minivan at BarringtonAve) and I asked her where she was going and informed her that's not a left turn lane. Didn't move as cars were coming to make a turn into the lane.
Notable returning: Car sitting in that exact spot, looking down at their phone, I'm coming around to head into that lane and I put the grill of my Tundra inches from theirs while car next to them is trying to get their attention.
Pretty self explanatory.

Light turns red - person is sitting in the middle of the intersection.
Instead of going (the oncoming car was slowing down) they just sat there.
They didn't have their directional on either - and they turned it on once the light (arrow) turned green.
The car directly in front of me also turned their directional on once they started turning.

I left room just in case of the "back up" solution.

287 south this morning yowzers
Witnessed the car in front just ram into the car in front of them. Slow moving traffic.
One of my biggest fears as a driver and passenger is the drivers behind me not paying attention to the ebb and flow of traffic even when it’s busy like what you described.

The first time I instinctually did the “shoulder dive” maneuver on Rt 80 (to avoid the truck coming up too fast behind me ) when I was teaching my youngest son how to drive last summer he freaked out but never forgot about it.

Driving all over this state, 287 could very well have the worst drivers in NJ. Constantly astounded by the stupidity exhibited there. I truly feel for those that need to be on that daily.

But aren't those the same people you just called the worst drivers in NJ?!?! BTW, I do need to drive 287 daily, I only use 287 between Skyline Dr and 23. Usually there isn't much going on there...
