What years? I was considering an sQ5.If you currently own a older generation Q5 have your rear sub frame checked.
We have been replacing these even out of warranty. For free. This was a 2015 with 100kView attachment 247034

My '06 Tundra passed that test. The dealer still removed the entire bed to undercoat the shit out of frame.Reminds me of the Toyota Tundra frames from 5-10 years ago. They would rot through and you could stick a screwdriver right through them. Wild.

Yep, I’m prepared for that. Previous owner said it didn’t burn much oil and it is an extra car for us. Qt in trunk always. We do like the modern features compared to 2000s 3 series. Great drive but does cost 2xYou should worry about oil burning
Was considering a 2019+ Macan S but the SQ5 tends to be cheaper. I have a mental limit on how much I’m willing to spend on a used daily driver. That could easily change. Please consider the 2022+ Macan S with the 2.9L Audi RS motor. CPO, they aren't much more expensive and it's a much better engine/trans than the 3.0L.
Exactly how many extra cars do you have?Yep, I’m prepared for that. Previous owner said it didn’t burn much oil and it is an extra car for us. Qt in trunk always. We do like the modern features compared to 2000s 3 series. Great drive but does cost 2x

Definitely not a nightmare, got it done on the same day, had to chase 1 cable that was chaffed during installation, it was right by the firewall. This is a 2023 C300Looks like a nightmare.
What's wrong with this gem?
Many things, steering angle sensor may be outside learned values or need values to be reset, alignment(if alignment is performed, steering angle sensor need to be reset/thought-in) make sure your tires are in decent shape, if high mileage check your lower control arm bushings or any other worn components like tie rod ends or inner tie rods. If equipped: lane keep assist may also be a cause of the issue.BMW with notched headset.
This X3, only on long, high speed drives gets a weird feeling in the steering. Basically feels exactly like a notched headset on a bicycle. It wants to go straight and takes extra effort to make very minor direction changes. It's only occurred after at least an hour+ of 70+ highway driving. Once the car cools down, or at slower speeds it feels totally normal.
Any thoughts?
Thanks. Only 42K miles and new tires less than a year ago. Still under factory warranty? If so definitely take it to the dealer, I know Mercedes will definitely have you cover for something like thatThanks. Only 42K miles and new tires less than a year ago.
Nope. It's a 2017, but my wife hasn't been commuting since Covid so it's barely driven.Still under factory warranty? If so definitely take it to the dealer, I know Mercedes will definitely have you cover for something like that
If you know anybody with a proper automotive scanner, it only takes a minute to reset the values of the steering angle sensor, aftermarket(non factory) diagnostic scanners have a section to set steering wheel after alignment, so you can try that if it fixes it, you should not have any suspension problems in a BMW at 42k milesNope.
