Any scotch/whisky drinkers in here?

1 cube. 1 cube only.

In some cases a bit of water and a swirl changes everything!

had the Hudson Baby Bourbon Whiskey last friday - and wow.
less than 4 years old - 100% corn, american oak aged.
Right here in NY (not far from stewart)

it's got a peppermint and cinnamon thing going - then a smokey wood, maybe some vanilla/chocolate interplay.
just hints, nothing overpowering.
smooth throughout.

drank with a couple of small cubes - but i'm thinking cellar temp (cool) - was its best presentation.

$37 for 375ml at wegmans. (that is $1 per cc for those counting at home)

I've always extended this thread to beyond with tequilas and piscos but this one is really special. Made in communist China for over 600 yrs. When I celebrate, this comes out before my 20+ Glenlivet. Wu Liang Ye, more than 50% is counterfeit, since its so popular on China. Is so darn good, I wish I had a reliable local supplier. Bring back 2 bottles every time in go the China. My friends call it Eastern moonshine, but its just plain delicious to me.

islays are great for Friday nights, just melts the stress away
don't feel like cracking a new bottle so will be doing the Costco Anejo Tequila, not spectacular, but rates better than any other sub $50 agave I've tried

thanks for the tip!!! i've got a 1.75 of chivas that is waiting for it to get cold - but i was thinking - i have a 4 pack of ten-fidy. $16 for 48 oz = $0.33/oz 25 oz in a btl of scotch - that is 8.25. so you can have the best stoudt in the world for 1/10 of a good bottle of scotch (or 1/5 that of tequilla!)
