Hello. I'm new to mountain biking and was I glad to see a forum dedicated to mountain bikers in nj. As I was browsing the threads in this forum I came across the "Walter's No-Frilss Spring short track race.....NICE!!!

Looks like a lot of fun, will you recommend that race for a newbie? I have been riding road fatbikes for some time now. Hope to get your inputs. Thanks.

Hell ya register up in the sport classes and have at it. I think Walter peddles soft drinks on the side and makes big money on the weekends. You'll have a blast and welcome...

My only advice is stay AWAY from the Marketplace. I don't even wanna talk about what I've spent since I got here...😱

The short track is big fun...and a great way to meet some of the peeps from the forum. Go for it!
 
Welcome to the site. Most...well a lot of us here race MTB's during the summer and have a lot of fun doing it. This Saturday is a cheap way to find out if you like it or not.
