Allaire Conditions

Rode there yesterday late morning. Wasnt as bad as I feared, but today will be a total mess with the warmer weather. Looks like we will be hitting some paved paths for a while.

Just left Allaire around 10:30 am, coffee walk and trail check. Trails are a mess/unrideable, lot full of cars, mostly Mtn bikers and was even forced off trail by two descending bikers, covered in mud.

Is this place gonna be awful tomorrow also? My friend just bought a bike and he is really wanting to give it a go on some dirt. I am surprised so many people were out today if the place was a mess.

Yes, it will still be a mess.

And I wonder how many of the people that tore the trails up have giving any time back to any park at all....

Not too many of them Mike, they all have "too many things to do", because the rest of us that do trail work don't have families, jobs, and other obligations.....

I think we are going to have a good amount of work in the coming weeks.

Is there anyway we can set up the old ATUG due to the current JORBA situation?

...only if the trails are muddy.

Seriously folks.....with the current insurance situation that JORBA is in, some of our groups (Allaire may be one) may not be able to get in and rectify trail problems. Please use common sense and don't hurt the dirt.

I"m sure you already went through all of the options....

What if you waiver the living shit out of it for the time being? Or is that just not good enough? Is the risk in a user suing the park & naming JORBA? This is overall pretty lame, sounds like a problem that more lawyers can fix 🙄

Dude, Thanks for asking
I am in the process of setting something up with the park looks like everyone needs to fill out a "VIP" form which is then giving to the park.
I still need to work out some of the logistics with them stay tuned..

Insert deep voiced movie guy here....In a world where you are not responsible for your own actions and can sue for coffee and hot cider burns.... Unfortunately, a good ambulance chasing attorney coupled with an entitled NJ resident can really ruin your day. The risk is indeed just that Rob, the states pockets are not deep enough and they try to go after ours, and our officers as well. And it's not just New Jersey, I have had discussions with agents across the country and it seems we've learned it all from California and New York. 🙁

the other problem is that not only can the park and JORBA be named but all the officers and trail leads.... it is a very slippery slope of lawsuits that we all live in why do you think they close the schools with just an inch of snow??

Thanks for clarifying guys. This stinks all around! Liability is such a joke....

And a big thanks for all of the work in trying to fix this situation! If there's anything we can do you know you've got plenty of troops to rally.

FB Post of Epic rides. WTF

Why are certain people posting on FB so proudly about their epic Allaire rides from yesterday and today?? I'm sure these well intentioned folks read this forum but this is just crazy.. There is no way in h-ll that all the trails were rideable yesterday or today. People don't understand that it does not have to be raining out to stay off the trails when soaking wet and SOFT.
Just my rant but I call BS and then to go on FB and talk about it just is throwing it in everybody's face that stayed off the trails and those that give up plenty of there time to fix, maintain and deal with all the other BS involved with TM. And I don't mean my time, but others that give all their time to ATUG. Just BS!
Ok That's all for now, I'm calm now. BYE

Note: Mostly pissed about Saturday, little pissed about today.
😉

Real talk, other than the first trail coming out of the lot, the park is bone dry. Seriously. Conditions were significantly worse last weekend. By a LOT.

Here's a picture of my son from today in Tiger woods, not a spec of mud on him or the bike.
