6 Mile Run Conditions

Rode red/orange from 27 to concrete bridge and back. Conditions are surprisingly good as others have noted.

I noticed some broken glass on the trail in the red reroute with the new bridge near the 27 lot. I removed some of them but there’s still some remaining…

Yeah.. when we cut that in we found tons of glass. I want the natural lines to form and then I’ll go back and move a lot of dirt.

What are the chance of the red/white trail from Jacqes Lane being riding lot on Friday and Sunday?

:D

Let's see how the week plays out - @jdog said it was riding well this morning,
but it is currently raining.....

Any trails easier than 6MR? Looking for trails that are more on the flat side but with switchbacks. Friend struggled with 6MR last year due to lack of confidence so looking to get him comfortable with easier trails before heading back to 6MR.

The bridal paths at 6mr?
They are wide with occasional turns.
Look at the satellite images from Jaques lot. There are some from the canal lot too

For just pedaling and shifting maybe Columbia trail and the road through the gorge? Almost no cars on that road and good scenery.

A little more narrow would be the tow path on the pa side of the Delaware
Can also combined that with a food stop

Those hills though. I ride these places with the NICA team and Mercer is by far the easiest due to the lack of elevation. Clayton is easy tech wise but the hills are killer.
I figured my wife used to ride at Clayton. If she can do it anybody can.

Loantaka Reservation FTW. 4 miles each way. 8 mile RT. A new loop in Geralda Farms across the street (minor incline) in case he wants more. Completely flat dirt trails, and also has a similar amount of paved trails in the park in case he wants to ditch the dirt. Ample parking at the north end (ironically on South Street) as well as mid-park. I’ve indicated these with “P” on this map:

Drying out nicely in the sun. At Dave’s request I attacked this spot

This spot shouldn’t hold water after todays efforts.
