6 Mile Run Conditions

6mile geographically is a challenge to manage trail usage. Highly populated area with a lot of uneducated trail users . The trails aren't overly challenging which inviting to people who normally would ride Mtbs in the woods.

Anyone planning to be out at six mile tomorrow morning? I am hoping to get out for my Mukluk's debut snow ride. Should some snow by 8 or 9.

Will go tomorrow morning around 8am, ride from home (near old Halters location) to Canal side then the full loop and back. Snow forecast is not that serious bu the wind will be brutal.

planning to start out at the blackwells mills lot around 8. Am planning to try to get out to 27 and back, but I will see how it goes (conditions, toes).

Go out there and break trail. You won't harm the dirt and it will be easier to ride when I get out there.

Was out today from around 7-8 am. Frozen solid (obviously, it was 17 degrees). Disappointing to see so many spots that got abused in mud and are now a frozen, rutty mess. I guess these turds just think the trails will fix themselves.

well, they do fix themselves in the spring. and when the earth ejects us from the planet, it will fix all the other stuff we messed up.
but yeah, stop riding in the mud, or during the freeze/thaw!

6MR in the snow is a blast. have at it.

Hopefully some 29ers get there to pack trail for fatbikers.

cx to the rescue!

Don't you know we don't get notified when you edit a post. Noob.

Hoping by Sunday afternoon there will be a good trail blazed/packed down. For now, just sippin' coffee by the fire.

I was overly optimistic 😳... ended up with 6 "road" miles

Believe me, I want to get out there on the snow too! and I'm only 2.5 miles from the trail 🙂
I was optimistic but it didn't happen. 5 hours of shoveling instead. Whop hoo.

Maybe try tomorrow.

I too am just 3 miles from the trail. That makes me smile.
