6 Mile Run Conditions

essentially zero rain in the area last night so its still good to go i'm sure. slept through my alarm this morning so i'll be out there tonight.

Conditions were pretty much perfect. I have a bit of a 6M tan, but not bad. Ran into Pearl and jdog at the Canal lot. 😎 ...and got to drool over a Tracer 275 one of the other riders in the lot just built. His bud's new Bronson was damn nice as well. :drooling:

Poppin' wheelies but no helmets. Womp.

Perfect day out there. Bone dry. But that'll all change tomorrow

well, that answers the question of who was in the lot when we were starting out.

it was starting to drizzle around 11:30 "in that area."

That being said now that its been messed with and not done by Jason I would feel more comfortable knowing it was removed completely. Six mile is supposed to have flow.

I'm on side "good intentions" with this one. You had to stop, get off your bike, and then climb over a tree before. Now you can ride over it. How is that not helping the flow?

The guy was trying to help, not cause chaos. Sometimes you need to explain things to people and not rag on them over something so stupid.

JMartz, I don't think you should feel uncomfortable riding over it. It's just like every other log over in the park.

So is this place still too saturated from the rain yesterday? I took off of work and was thinking of taking back some KOMs.

I rode early sunday morn the 1st. Conditions were PERFECT. No dust clouds and tacky. It really didn't rain heavily in the area and my lawn is dry. 80/20 good/nogood

I was on blue this morning. Couple puddles but otherwise fine. I only saw about a mile of trail so take that for what it's worth.

Stay home, give it a chance to dry!!!

(in other words "leave the KOM's as they are").

Yep. A number of puddles, but not much actual mud.

Thought I saw pearl's and Mandi's cars in the 27 lot, but never crossed paths.

Overall, great day! 🙂

Red trail section that exits onto the road that goes back to canal lot is fixed! The fallen trees that you had to crawl under have been removed. Also, the huge trunk laying across a bit further down towards the road has had a chunk cut out to allow roll overs. Everything else is as expected. Good job trail maintenance people!

Please consider throwing a small hand pruner in your pack and cutting back overgrowth as you see it. If everyone who rode just cut a little back it would make things way better. It is about to become a jungle out there and i have not found a free day on my calendar to run a group TM in the next few weeks.

Of course, with all the rain we're getting, we probably won't be riding there until early next week... 🙁

But I'll add some clippers to my pack.

Funny you say that, i was going to on my next ride. I made the mistake of wearing short sleevel and my arms are cut up, one cut seemed to have a small rash but I don't think it is poison ivy.

Friend of mine got clotheslined by fishing line on the metal bridge on blue last week. He saw young kids watching from the bushes and laughing at him when he hit it. Be careful and unfortunately, keep an eye out for the future shitheads of america out there.

When was this? I was there on June 1st and was told three kids were doing the same thing that day but they got away. If this happened again last weekend its more than an isolated event. I wouldn't hesitate to chase them down and call the cops. Keep your eyes out and post any new info.
