I'm also running Mavic SLRs on my 26"er and they're not THAT much heavier...never put 'em on a scale though...

What do you have on that Sultan?

Currently WTB Laserdisc rims, Hope Pro II hubs laced with comps running on Rampages. I definitely need lighter rubber and I want to try tubeless, I've been quoted a good price on Pro II's laced to Arch rims using a mix of comp and supercomp spokes.

It's more the effort and not much weight savings with the WTB rims. If I've got to add weather strips then the stans rubber strip, then hope that I can easily inflate.

I tried the stans strips on those rims. I was not successful with them. The rim is pretty deep and you need to add weather stripping for the strip to seat properly. Go with the stans rims if you can.
