27.5+ dying??

What I was saying is that when I drop it, I drop it all the way down. When I raise it, i sometimes stop it before full up, if the situation warrants it.
If i am in an all descent... i guess i put the saddle down fully.... like Creek. But if there are parts where it levels off, just half way or so

You 100% can pump while pedaling, that's where a dropped seat helps.
Then that was the confusion on my part. Was thinking pumping was no pedaling all at. What youre describing... is just balancing and shifting weight and preload.

That's what pumping is, shifting your weight to lighten when going up and get heavier when going down. Using gravity to your advantage. It is easier to do without pedaling but you can do it while you are.

It makes sense in my head, I hope it's coming out right.

nah... I get it.
I guess I had the wrong definition. I thought you guys had nitrous coming out of your arses for a sec 😀

You need more pump track time Paul. Let's plan an OOS PJ pump track mission. It's even paved, so no issues with the SixMile puddle police ! It'll be fun !

Now as far as pumping...yeah...usually not while pedaling. Rock gardens ? Attack with some momentum while spotting your line, then roll into it, getting light to get on top of the rocks, and pushing down the backsides just like a roller.

I don't have too much problems with rock gardens... well not more than most avg mtber I guess. I might even venture out to say that I am prolly better than many OOZERS in the tech. I do admit I need to get better at pumping (without pedaling)

As for the dropper... I have not seen an advantage of having the dropper full down. Half way is more enough for me. Thats is not to say there isn't one. I just haven't experienced it yet I guess.
