Guess they are the sweet variety
Nice harvest

Tomatoes already starting to whither a bit
But still giving off solid fruit every day

Some chinese squash finally showing up, I'm letting them grow loose but next year won't be allowed in the pen

One of only two wintermelons out of 3 plants, once the skin goes from hairy to smooth, they are ready to harvest, this is the one vegetable I've had most anticipation over this year

Starting up the cool weather crops, bean and lettuce, bugs destroy my kale and Chinese greens so giving up on them, anyone want like 500,000 Bok choy seeds? The remaining head are radicchio, come out great, but take forever to head

Yes, the sweet peppers, Cubanelles
My tomato season is a solid month late this year and I have heard the same from a few people in my immediate area.

My tomatoes are late too. However my neighbor got some early tomatoes and last we spoke he didn't have much left on the vine. Strange year I guess.

Mine were regular but put them in earlier than most even with risk of frost as I did want plants to peak when I was away in August
- here's an ugly tomato contestant, a mato with a pecker

forgot to take a picture of the one BIG BIG QUASH
but the big part did deliver. thing is freaking huge. LOOK AT THE PINT GLASS.
It was pretty bland, but a decent carrier for curry.

looks like a wintermelon Luke, can you send some pics of the plant
if so, need to wait for fuzz to disappear before harvesting could keep for months afterwards, hence the name wintermelon
wintermelons are traditionally used in soups for asian dishes, true not much flavor, but very clean tasting, I can shoot over a few if interested

Still picking. I have a few chard plants that have been growing like crazy, finally decided to use them. Also have 4 huge basil plants that need to get picked and put to use. Also have a ton of habaneros that will come around soon, and many more green tomatoes and pepper buds. Not too shabby!

Picking the tomatoes earlier than I'd like, but if I don't then the squirrels get them.

Also lost all of my broccoli and most of my kale seedlings to the critters.

That pesto looks awesome! I have a similar looking pile of basil still rooted in the ground. It's all fallen over itself though.

Also the netting for my tomatoes came loose, so it's just a twisted mess now. Still plenty of green ones growing though

I put about a dozen basil leaves in a snack size ziplock bags then freeze them. when time comes to use it, crush the frozen leaves and add to your food. if you try to defrost them, they are gooey mess.

Thanks, will give it a shot!

We make basil cubes. Purée basil leaves and olive oil in the blender then pour into ice cube trays and freeze. Easy to make fresh pesto and tomato sauces all winter

Not sure what I'm going to do with all of my green tomatoes, I'll pull them all on Sat and hope some will ripen up. Peppers are in pots for the most part, so I might be able to squeeze a little more out of them if I move in/out of the house.

I guess you could do the fried green tomato thing. I tried all the stuff with storing them ins, in newspaper, whatever else I read and never seemed to do much.
