    Beginner's loop in Bentonville?

I don't have a loop for you but here's what I'd do if I took my son (11) riding in Bentonville. Park here and ride All American. It runs parallel to the razorback greenway and has a number of trails and parks off of it. Just about every grouping of trails or park has a well labeled map...

    Chain Wax Discussion thread

I use Silca hot melt wax and the wax-based lube on my road bikes and am super happy. Their wax-based lube is now my go-to and I find the little extra daily maintenance is worth a tidy drive train and minimizing wear on expensive AXS components. I was hesitant to use it for mtb and cross...

@UtahJoe @MadisonDan any recommendation on gearing if someone was foolish enough to run a single speed for this event? I've never ridden here so unfamiliar with terrain and trails. thanks in advance.

Can I run Sram X-Sync 11s narrow wide with SRAM AXS Flat top 12 speed chain?

somewhat related... I had luck with a KMC 12 speed chain on the following config: sram 12 speed AXS X-sync 1x chain ring, grx 11 speed rear derailleur, sunrace 11 speed cassette. Seems the KMC chain places nicely with both 11 and 12 speed set-ups

    Coffee

    1) don’t take coffee advice from those who measure coffee beans volumetrically. Sorry, not sorry @Norm :) And, yes, I travel with a scale. 2) boiling water is fine for light roasts. See here: I find 85C is good for dark roasts and 95 C is good for medium roasts. I’m using 100C now on some...

    Kids Kona process 24” / Mullet 26” F

@jdog , what's the next bike for your daughter? My son (9) will soon be too big for his 24" mtb and I'm struggling to find the right next bike. Santa just brought him a 700cc 44cm road/cross bike and he's loving the bigger wheels.

Dry January 2024 (The Sober Thread)

I've found BrewDog IPA's to be good (hazy AF, elvis AF in particular). For non-IPA's, the Self Care stuff (Krystal's Vice, Fuzzy Hat - British Style Brew, Chalice of Wisdom Pilsner) are good.
