Bike computer that doesn't suck ?

This is actually for my road bike and not my mountain bike. Are 14 reliable years my old Trek bike computer finally stopped working. It was a simple wired computer that displayed the data that I needed especially cadanece. So far I have tried two bike computers from Cateye a Wireless Padrone...

Need recommendation on new roadbike tire

I know this is a MTB Forum but many of us also ride road bikes as well. I've had it with my Continental GP 4000 tires as the sidewalls love to fall apart. I inflate my tires to the proper PSI and I am careful not dunk them into the many NJ potholes. So far I've had two front tires and one rear...

    Donating bikes

Hi all, We have a 15" Trek 4300 (blue and silver) with V-brakes and a girls 20" Trek Mystic (powder blue with a basket) that I would like to donate to a family that is going to ride the beans out of them and not just leave them outside in the rain. The Mystic needs a new brake cable. Both are...

    I tried flat pedals yesterday

Oh yeah, I used to loe jumping over people and the bunny hop contests over people. At least you guys were able to hid the ramp in the woods. I grew up in a urban area so each day we would have to go out and look for new materials to build a ramp out of. Usually it consisted of a discarded piece...

    Bike was stolen!!

I honestly don't even like leaving my bike rack atatched to the my car. But it's a pain removing and installing it each time. I'm honestly suprised that no one has stolen my bike rack.

    Bike was stolen!!

Yup, I lived in West New York and in our first apartment we once had some scumbag enter our open window thinking we were not home and had just left it open.

    Bike was stolen!!

Where I live I once left my car unlocked. The next morning I found that it had been rummaged through. I used to keep a emergency 100 bucks in the ash tray (when cars had ash trays) and at that time, an expensive radar detector and my prescription sunglasses. The person that went through the car...

    I tried flat pedals yesterday

HA!!! I remember the days of finding discarded plywood in a parking lot and building makshift ramps with it so we could jump our bmx bikes. As kids we were too poor for any of us to afford to purchase a Super Jump ramp at the local bike shop, that was reserved for the rich kids. As for the...

    Bike was stolen!!

Sorry about that I know the feeling. I leave nothing in my car that is remotely visible, not even a pen. Some people will steal anything that isn't bolted down. In my area we had someone going around stealing planters. Yes, planters....

My fall MTB seaosn is done.

Well, I just noticed that on Jorba's site the White trail is described as Thanks, it's not the dogs fault. It was just doing what dogs do and that's run around. It was just bad timing.

My fall MTB seaosn is done.

As my knee and leg heals for next season maybe some of us can put together an early AM ringwood ride? I prefer long climbs up gravel and fire roads. I'm not much into the rock gardens and I have to gauge how my knee is going to respond to the trail rides so long easy trails will b ebetter when...

Agreed, I have to say I'm really digging riding my full suspension mountian bike on my usual road bike loops. It may become my main ride even on the road or one day roadbike the next day mountianbike loop. yes, it's slower per say but I just dig the feel.

Agreed Icebiker, this could have been way worse. I'll be honest I'm almost 50 years old and never once have I been in some much physicla pain that I dragged myself to the ER. I was 100% confident taht they were going to find a fracture, torn miniscus (if any miniscus at all) or a torn ACL.
