I highly recommend keeping on eye on what's for sale here. Folks here keep great care of their stead. And are constantly upgrading to the latest and greatest, = good deals. But I will echo the Ibis Ripley AF or Giant Trance X2. Both great bang for the buck.
Add Perspiration/Chitty Bang Bang to this list for sure. Trail is from Pittsfield to Chittendon. Ridgeline Outdoor Collective just had the ribbon cutting early October. Easiest access would be from Chittendon Brook Campground off of rt 73. Access also doable off Upper Michigan in Pittsfield
Out here in the Grand Tetons-Wyoming. Hit the Phillips Pass with my Trance-E. signs posted frequently saying no e-bikes. Same thing down the pass in Idaho @ Mike Harris campground trails. Apparently, e=bikes have not caught on yet out here.

Both routes are great. If you're not feeing Von Trapp, I highly recommend Idletyme Brewing Company. Nice menu, outside seating and the Stowe path rides right behind outside seating. Enjoy
