Candy Ass Update. I just went through and cleared 5 trees. A few weeks ago it was given a brush back by Tim Pierce the new Allamuchy North Jorba lead.
I can tell you that as of today that was absolutely the easiest to follow I've seen since I started keeping tabs on this trail. All dirt...
Its clear. I'd ask if you could check the transition at the bottom and adjust as you see fit. I barely had time tonight to make it through candy ass and clear that which was my primary goal so I didn't put any time into trying to clean up the bottom. Apologies for the delay. To be honest...
They have been slowly moving down the rail trail from andover since last year ....taking down ash trees is my understanding. They had just been on the north side of north shore road on 206 and that just opened back up last weekso they are probably on the stretch from south shore road to waterloo.
Followed the red line with a weedwacker and chainsaw. Got 3 trees and cleared all brush. No before pics of the brush. Ran into @chainsawer who was heading for some trees further in the park.
I took a hike through today and remarked. I didn't have a lot of Flo Pink paint but I had enough to touch up all the missing marks and most faded ones. I'll go back through another time and hit it again with some more paint but you should be able to follow it now.
For anyone looking for...
Thanks. I'll take a look. Since it was marked I'm not opposed to fixing it up a bit. There are a lot of trails unmarked in north and thats kind of the thing for those. Admittedly lumpy bumpy can be hard to follow, especially at the bottom toward the end.
My lawn is browning nicely in typical dog pee and seasonal dry out areas. Crab grass filling in usual spots taking over / pissing off the broad leaf which makes me marginally happy. So long as married i'm stuck with a wife driven chemical restriction due to previously mentioned dogs. Weed...
Fyi. If you go and get to the one where the red dot is. Note that it starts on the other side of the gravel road up from the old parking lot and the top of it ends on the trail. When @mattybfat and i saw this our take was that we would only clear what was on the trail itself and not the part...
7-11 trail at the new parking lot cleared all the way to the woods. @chainsawer its a start if you can look to make a pass in there down the road for some trees. I'll look to make it further in for brush next week
