Car-spotting thread

Everyone was out cruising today - saw a white Ferrari, at least 6 vettes cruising together, a group of bimmers, a threesome led by a green McLaren and included a metallic gold GTR, saw a white with blue stripes GT350. Everyone except @GSTim ! ?

The gold wrapped GT-R is local; his dad is a doctor. He lives in town off Route 31.

Did the lack of business drive the negotiation? Or you have tips to share.

They have a glut of former loaners they are off-loading, business on CPO cars was down, and the financing was the Tier 1 national offer. Also a friend of a friend knows the pre-owned sales manager at Princeton Porsche, so a friendly name-drop probably helped cut out the BS. But yes, I think some of it was COVID pricing. They have a number of 18 Macans in the mid 40s range. The 19s got the bigger NAV screen, so every Princeton soccer mom wants the 19.

She was considering a new 2020 Q3 for $38,500, but the Porsche CPO warranty is balance of factory plus 2 years and unlimited mileage, so that and the PDK sealed the deal.

I helped a friend buy a Macan today. CPO 2018 Macan Base with a bunch of options. 5500 miles. $59,500 MSRP. Negotiated $41,500. She also got $6500 trade in on a GLK350 with 140,000 miles. 1.99% financing for 60 months.

so 59,500 was the new list price?

did she put anything down on it or just the 6500 trade in?
