27.5+ dying??

As for the dropper... I have not seen an advantage of having the dropper full down. Half way is more enough for me. Thats is not to say there isn't one. I just haven't experienced it yet I guess.
But you aren’t purposefully not pushing it down all the way, right? It is more that you don’t have time or whatever?
You see I ride alot of the same trails, so I pretty much always know where I am going to drop it. However sometimes when you brain wonders or you are riding places you don’t know as well, sometime you try and drop late and it is awkward and you only push it down alittle. Regardless, in most cases it doesn’t need to be slammed.

I said it before, to make droppers a slam dunk game changer, will be when they can do down without siting on them. Basically like a shifter, one button up, one down. That will be a true game changer.

First half of my rides... I forget about the dropper completely.
After a gnar or two... I think to myself... damn... that shit was crazy... wait... why didn't I use my dropper?
Then I start using my dropper but most of the time I am always a bit late.

First press of the lever, it just gets slammed all the way down. Then I adjust it back up to mid way when the opportunity presents itself.

I find it problematic to precisely measure the exact percentage of my dropper extension while riding, and I don't carry a ruler with my riding gear...I know, right! When heading downhill it goes down, if facing a tech climb is goes somewhere in the middle or where it feels comfortable, and finally long pedaling climb goes full up. Generally, when heading downhill I can tell by how I feel on the bike if the dropper needs to go down (meaning I forgot to drop it) because the weight moves immediately forward like I'm about to OTB, it means I have to hit the switch.

Back to the actual original topic, I need to button up the 27.5+ wheels and run them on the Fuggy, even though the 29 wide trail feel awesome. Unfortunately they don't make DHF/DHR II in 27.5"x3.0" so I will be using High Rollers II instead, as going with 27.5"x2.8" seemed pointless even though the DHF/DHR II is a great combo!

I rode yesterday with no dropper, droppers are overrated, droppers are dead...

Anyway I got to install the dropper today

Personal experience, I went with a 125mm on my Medium bike when I wasn't 100% sure a 150mm would fit. I regret it slightly now.

Most NJ riding the 125mm is fine, but I'd love that extra 25mm at the downhill parks or Kingdom. It's noticeable.

DH... full down
Local trails in NNJ... half is good enuff for me.
I guess... there is a need for 150&+

I got a 150 this time, I thing I'll be able to have it placed all the way into the frame and have a ton of space for sick tricks like standing while stopping without getting off my bike.
