Book of Paul H

I keep getting the same error, I've been trying to cut out most of the stops in OOS rides. I felt rude to both bob and leo, but I feel like roll time vs talk time is 2/1
Sorry.. I can't speak for others but when on grp rides... I am looking for a social ride. If I want to "train"... I would rather do that by myself.

I just don't want to cool down which is what happened to me and I cramped at the end, is that fair? I like the chitchat its why I'm still asking people to join

Fair... but then you have to ride with ppl who are looking for the same. If you know half the time is spent talking... you shouldnt complain about it when that happens.

Sorry about the gif above, I thought it was a laughing with you type of thing.
fwiw, its super hard to find people of equals speed, especially when people starting training.

Valid statement. Most of my rides are solo because I don't want to hold people back. Any time I ride with others, it is with the notion that they can fly ahead of me and wait at trail forks, and I will do the same if needed. Some people dislike slinky or inchworm rides, but that is how it goes.

In my personal opinion, there's a difference between stopping to talk/recover because we're OOS, and the breaking point where it's just talking. Nothing wrong with hanging, but at a certain point, especially far into a ride, and in the cold, I don't think it's wrong to try and keep things moving so long as people are physically cool to do so. This message is brought to you by TimBay's unqualified guide to cool dude attitude brought to you by Miralax, member FDIC.

It saddens me when you say that.
When OOS started, my personal expectations were to bring ppl out regardless of fitness/abilites and have a great time just like the mtbnj grp rides. I guess that's another story.

Are you developing a conscience? HA... nah dude... I knew where you were coming from. Besides, it is weird for me to use the word "train" since I rarely do it... or never stick with it.

When its cold... I think its actually better to have a controlled pace so that you don't sweat too much. For the guy in the back, his socks will be frozen from his sweat and will have a painful shower when he gets home. Been there.... done that.

No, it's Paul H. I'm talking about. Your the only person I know that cannot do a ride in weeks then get off the couch and do a century ride with @liong71er!
@liong71er makes those rides manageable for me. He allows me to go at my pace and gives me plenty of opportunities for breaks when needed.
Plus... once we completed the ride... I wanted to die. lol

I should also add that despite the pain... its well worth it especially because of the company.

Let's settle this underground style. Pick a common date and I'll arrange a short track. 5 laps, who's in?
Last years MTBNJ short track... my lungs were about to explode after 2 laps... which is when I threw in the towel.

Also... if this was any pro sporting match... it would be laughable because of the age difference. But here... makes sense.

Second? Do we have a third? Thinking HM or RV.
