So what is the NUE series? Not National Ultra Endurance series? The fast guys are 6-7 hours. Maybe I don’t know what endurance is. What @jimvreeland is ride his bike as long as he can, take a nap, ride some more and call it a race ?Ok, i don't think that's true endurance. I think JimV does true endurance races.
Not sure what you’re saying? Winners are in 4:20 range for that race I think.I just got off the couch after 4yrs and did the bscat ,(7.5 hours) with almost no problem.
Did you check out Matt Ackers last “endurance” ride? 540ish miles, 64 hours no sleeping. When the length of your nap effects your overall race time, it's Endurance. As a reference, I know about 25 recreational riders that just did unPaved with zero long distance experience and Finished. We're talking 12-14 hours out there. You can still fake that fitness.
Hmmm, I think @Riggedfmx ride to key west right off the couch. Still not sure what you’re saying.I'm saying 7 hours isn't real endurance.
I'm punching out, it's over Johnny
Oh, this isn’t a one way street Jimbo. You dish it out as well. I’d like a logical explanationto why XC or Endurance racing is harder. Anyone can hop on a bike, eat and ride for long periods of time...well almost anyone. My question was about racing. You've not been in a Dave Taylor thread before? He asks a question and then just belittles anyone that answers why his opinion is the only one.
Ask him to explain why a vintage 26" MTB is faster than a Gravel Bike on the road.
No, but probably an amazing garvel bike ?Sick. JT used to race a 26" XC bike against other 26" XC bikes, that obviously means that old POS is amazing on the road 😉
No, but probably an amazing garvel bike ?
Which is why you select the bike for the 10%.Gravel is like 60% road, 30% super smooth dirt, and 10% stuff you'd take a 5 year old on.
Better to be over prepared for that 10%, being that 47c tire
