OOS MOGA

nope, PM the link, too lazy to look it up
Did you rent or take the Trek? @Juggernaut, who has been blasting the greens, and mastering the blues, will be my guide.

I took the 29er. It did alright! Saw a few riders with regular front suspension. What I should have done was switch my pedals to flat ones (>_<)

that's pretty sick to do it on a XC bike and cleats. Someone mentioned that people do it on hybrids but I can't see how it possible. You probably rode with tank top and regular helmet also.... Okay, I'm feeling better with my 160 travel bike now. Nerves settled... 😎

I'm happy to show you guys around Wildcat, but I'm on call this weekend and can't really commit to anything. I would need to stay somewhat close to the car with the possibility of bailing on you guys.
Wildcat is in my backyard... And I've only been there twice.. go figure lol.

Haha! Nah, wore what I always wear (shorts and jersey). I did rent the full protection gear over there though. The food and beer at the outdoor bar is also good too!

Not sure about this. I am sure the regulars would welcome this but for the new comers, don't want to scare them off.... not like we will ride at Cat 2 speeds all of a sudden but I think we should keep it at a fun pace. Besides, if yesterday's ride was any indication, we had 9 ppl on this ride? When there is a good number of ppl, perhaps we can break up into "I might puke" and "I will definitely puke" group lol

we need a third group for those of us who are going to go over the handle bars :|

Not to derail this thread, but why don't you ride there more?

I've been there a hand full of times, I felt like I was going up hill ever way I turned even going back the way I came was up hill. I need a tour of the place to know where to start from since I live 15 minutes from there.

I was at Mt. Creek for the first time in May. It's a lot of fun and just mainly stuck with the green and blue trails. Until my friend and I ended up going down a short black diamond section. I think you may have seen the GoPro video I posted on my Facebook?
Where can I watch the video??

I should.. Heard there meetups Wednesday nights? but I'm not sure how advanced they are.

intermediate level - I'm the slowest one. one of the challenges there is the combo of climbing and tech. It is fun, even if i'm hallucinating in an attempt to keep up.
We'll do an OOS there, so we can break it into a couple of the best areas, take our time, and cheer each other on.
Same with the sourland ride. It is going to be a lot of work, but keeping the pace low, and breaking it into sections will work.

ps - i made the podium in the 3 cat3 45+ events i entered. you all could do this. i now try to avoid DFL in cat 2....

I think you should target the mountain main biathlon in october as a "fun" event. couple of short trail runs and 14ish mile loop at LM.
it is a good group, very supportive, and finishing will put a smile on your face. keep together as a team!

No blew up my rear hub, found out it wasn't actually a Deore that was my front hub rear was some no name. Ordered a whole new rear as a temp until I save up for a proper new wheelset. Hoping it comes in this week.
