Yes. That's it. There were only a couple points where it felt like someone's actual yard - even though its ROW. So, I popped on the road and then back onto the ROW, once or twice.[/QUOTE
What happens to the easement once you get to Waldwick?

It was a beautiful morning in the park today. The trails were pretty good.
I rode out Pumphouse trail to the stone bridge and it is underwater.
I found a nice little trail off of Laurel trail that goes down to the lake, very pretty.
I also rode out my favorite trail Wingdam. 45° is perfect riding weather.
I put a few more photos on my blog.

Between the rain and having guests at the house, yesterday was a gym day. So, my time on a bike looked like this.

Today, I had to take folks to the airport during the sunny part of the morning. So, I got back and prepared for a wet ride. It did rain, but it was pretty light and at 50+ degrees, it wasn't bad. As with most of my "road" rides, there is usually some portion that ends up off-road.

7 deer all quite interested in the weird thing on wheels:

Best I can tell this is an old set of bleachers, upside down in the woods, with about 100 little action figures glued to it.

This above is after the ride at Surf Taco. Beer on Russ. The story was the ride to the ride, doe. We were southbound on the GSP just below the Colonial service area and just north of Rt 27. 2nd lane from the right, 72 miles an hour. Most people were passing us.

Greg says "Look out" and two cars ahead of me I see a blacked out Honda Accord go from the right lane diagonally across three lanes at 85 mph straight into the concrete divider, strewing 28 pieces of plastic all over the road on contact.

The Accord bounced off and proceeded at 75mph diagonally across four lanes to the embankment to the right of the shoulder missing all the traffic again. Its momentum carried it up the embankment and when its right side scraped against the 25 foot tall trees at the top, it began to spin clockwise (think, halfpipe). It apexed about 25' or 30' high, curving off the trees back toward the roadway. Finally after a perfect 360, it landed hard, upright on all four wheels just off the shoulder and just behind a utility van parked on the shoulder, who may have been the luckiest guy in NJ.

The bike ride was anti-climatic, forgetting my garmin in the truck for 1:48:48 and 11.5 miles down between Silvey and the river.

Greg said to put the Strava map on satellite view to see the second farm field we rode around.

did some more exploring in the neighborhood today (dismal swamp, rutgers eco (abbreviated), johnson park, donaldson park, thomas edison park, raritan center, greenway)...

these tracks from the eastern end of the middlesex greenway look like they will take you all the way to raritan center...going to give that a shot at some point...maybe tomorrow...this rain is relentless...

This is the place to be. I normally hit it up before driving to RV or Lewis Morris. Toasted cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese hits the spot. After eating here you may have trouble eating at chains like DD.
