Lewis Morris

Great work. People, buy this dude's photos so he's encouraged to come out for every race. Nathan -- You know the next race is 6/15 at Stewart, right?

Im will for sure come out to more races, but unfortunately 6/15 I will be out near Pittsburgh, Pa to shoot the High Point national motocross race. I had a fun day as I really enjoy shooting action. My main business is weddings, as you can imagine it's all stress and not much fun. MTB racing turns out to be just as much fun to shoot as dirtbikes.

After seeing the track, Im itching to go ride at Lewis Morris! My problem with MX is I can't ever do both. Utah and I go to the track and I want to shoot, but I can't tear myself away from riding all day. MTB will hopefully not end up the same..Ill ride for fun and shoot the races.

Athough...I could run a beginner lap, then shoot sport and Expert! HRMMMM

Hottest ride?

Did anyone else notice this at the race? This could be the best thing I saw all day: A Porsche Carrera 4 with a roofrack for the bike. Whoever this guy is, we have the same priorities. I bought my Mazda, b/c I didn't have the heart to put a roofrack on anything sexier. It doesn't look bad at all, either. I bet he was the first guy to walk into his bike/sporting good store and ask for a roofrack for a 911!

Does anyone know what the problem was with the results? I can't help but think that race data was lost, and they're trying to figure out what our times were, or making them up. Yeah, I know - I'm paranoid. But that doesn't mean they're not out to get me.

What else could delay the results this much? Especially when they clearly were (are?) working hard to get the results up ASAP. Beginner was up quickly. Good job on that, BTW.

I admit I have the same fears but they're not founded on anything. I know that I beat last year's time by 14 minutes. And if I use last year's results and this year's category split, I would come in 4th. If that's all I have then I'm fine with that. I'd rather know that I came in 4th, or 8th, or against all odds snuck into 3rd (extremely unlikely). Regardless, I truly was racing myself Sunday and I pwned me from a year ago.

Usually on race day they get some kind of results up. But after that it almost always takes 2-3 days minimum, 7-8 days max. If I knew the guys at Marty's I'd call but I'm sure they would give a vague answer. If anyone knows the shop give them a ring and see what they say.

They got the timing better this year so good job on that. The Sport race was pretty on time whereas last year it must have been 30 minutes delayed. Also, great job to MCPC and Marty's for keeping those trails solid after all the use it gets. The LM trails aren't the most exciting in the world but I thought it was a boat load of fun.

^ Ya its funny bc my bike timer said 38:16 when I parked it by the pavillion after the finish line. My time on the sheet was 40:20. About a minute after I parked someone came running over to me to ask me my number. My first race so maybe this is common? (difference between offical timing and bike-puters)

BIZ, btw there was one that topped that porche. Parked next to me was a 96-97 911 turbo.

Are you 30-39 or 40-49? They time everyone with the same start time. So when they post the official results it will say "subtract 2 minutes for real time". This is SOP. You were probably in the 3rd group to go?

The number plate, it's always better to make sure than not. Sometimes they're not 100% sure - remember these are just weary-eyed volunteers - and they want to make sure that every single rider is accounted for.

I was parked in the upper lot, just up the hill from this guy. You can be sure I took notice of that setup. I'm not sure what I think of it, but you gotta give the guy props for wanting to get the use out of his car.

that older porshe was much much cooler. i haven't been a fan of the 911's since they lost the round lights. the older 911 turbo's look like a hot chick with a delightul butt.
the new ones just look like boxsters

That's pretty sweet looking. I might know who it is, if I saw a picture of the owner, but i've met a guy(didn't get a name) at a couple of the races & he says he's got a porsche.
