You sure after those winds yesterday. Trees down all over out area. After this weekends trail maintenance session.... It will be physically impossible to get a stick through your derailleur on this course.

K. Thanks for the heads up.There was a decent sized tree down on ice cream, towards the top as the descent becomes more intense. This was on sunday morning.
Never ridden here-planning on the 4 hour race.
What is the rough lap mileage/ pace?
If you're looking to ride multiple laps than perhaps racing Cat 2 should be considered.Any idea yet how many laps for cat 3?

Cat 3 is usually one lap. Just look on bikereg.comI believe it will be 3 laps for cat 3. @Norm or @mattybfat can confirm

I rode the course a few laps on Sat. For cat 3 it's pretty tough with the climbing & rocks IMO. Just a little moisture and those rocks get slippery. Not exactly beginner friendly. 3 laps will weed out the weak, but there may be a lot of DNF's.I'll get out there this week and asses the cat 3 loop. I am hesitant to send the cat 3s out for 8+ miles of Allamuchy so I want to see for myself what the loop is like.

So that means you have to keep racing if you don't win this one. No pressure.i averaged right around 6mph last year.....btw, i plan on winning this and making it my last cat 3 race![]()
