What have you done to your bike today?

So, catching up here.

The brakes on Abe Vigoda (bus stop bike) were a little grabby.
I was able to identify the problem.

Then Jungle did stuff to my bike.
I was in the middle of Boon and burped the rear wheel (or would that be a fart?)
Tried hitting it with a CO2, and I just blew that out into the atmosphere.
So with my second to last cartridge, I called it a day and threw in a tube.

Rode the second half of my ride on this:

Didn't realize it was that bad until I hit pavement.
It was like riding a drunken three legged mule.

Stripped the wheel down because I wanted to retape it, threw it into the truing stand, and it wasn't that bad,
and I made it pretty good, but decided to bring it to LBS to see if they could make it rounder.
At the end of the day, most of that is the tire itself.
Even properly seated it still has some wobble. Oh well, so it is.

Next up, swap out the cog on the SS for the Deer Park ride on Saturday so I'm not #WalkingMySSForSchilling

Nice, and you were able to go "matchmaker" on the dropper lever with the brake mount?
That's sweet.
Always nice to unclutter the cockpit.
And Guides- I can't wait til I need new brakes.

Yeap! I was gonna go with xt brakes cause I already purchased saint I spec shifters. But I don't see myself going back to gears anytime soon and all my buddies ride shimano for the most part so it's nice to try the guides out. They worked great on the dh bikes at Creek so I'm sure they will be good on trail. The matchmaker system is super clean to. I love less clutter on the bars!

Decided to stop messing around with the cheap chinese carbon bars and got myself an Iodine 3 bar and Thomson stem to go with it. Needed the stem because I finally upgraded to a 31.8 bar on my Jamis from a 25.4. Also bumped it up from 660 to 700mm. And it's gun-metal so it looks bad-ass!

cx wheels are on, brake pads adjusted to hit the track. squealing like a...
hoping not to brake anyway. (see what i did there?)

btw, i'm going with the mm2 (or is it mi2) tires. but i'm bringing the gatorskins on the other wheelset, just in case.

2 new ignitors to replace the old tires that were starting to crack pretty badly. Nice being able to set 2 tubeless tires in 1/500th the time it took for the last set to hold. Thanks again to @jdog and the boys at Halters for making my brakes functional again and giving things the once over.

Yeah the one I posted is made of Ti by King cage. Awesome small shop with awesome water bottle cages.

Got the firmer spring for my rear shock. Way way better.

If you have a coil spring, it totally pays off to measure the sag and get the proper spring.

I also added Carbon bars and old school Oury grips (moto wired on). The combo of the two made my hands go from aching terribly to happy.
