saw the roadie pricks today

We were crossing the road (florida's a1a- heavy strava segmented road) with my family yesterday, going to the beach and a roadie stopped to let us go even after I told my family to wait. As I crossed in front of him, I thanked him for the courtesy and apologized for messing up his KOM. He acknowledged - in a fight club secret kind of look.

So this was a road race, with a follow car and yellow-line rule, I assume.

No, it would see that it was not:

This loop goes nowhere near Amwell. I will assume that this is the yearly "that big group was blocking my ability to get a GD hamburger fast" post. We see this every year, and sooner or later someone identifies it as some sort of group ride, or charity ride, or something like that. More than likely it was a ride that was generating money for some cause other than Joe Q Public and his Mad Rush to Get Nowhere Fast.

I always wondered where that segment came from - we are nowhere near the pinelands. Anywho, they do that loop in the wussie direction, would be much harder counter-clockwise.

the other day I was whipping down the road on the motorcycle, there was like 18 kids in wheelchairs crossing the street. I really had to slow down. I called them a bunch of pricks and went around them on the wrong side of the road anyway.

All those kids were scumbags..... each and every one of them.

On Saturday driving up to LewMo through the Great Swamp. Tons of cyclists on the road. Most, single file. I ease up since I didn't want to pass on a turn, and coming the other way completely over the line into the outside lane (my lane) was a car flying trying to pass some riders. I see more drivers who get frustrated then don't know how to pass even one cyclist let alone a group.

Couple of minutes later I see two cyclists side by side, chatting away. Completely unaware of the cars behind them or the fact that the car in front of me came within inches of the one riding in the middle of the road.

So they are inexperienced...excuse to tide like an ass?

Inexperienced and likely ignorant to the rules of the road. This makes sense. Which is why @stb222s post makes a lot of sense. The promoter should make sure everyone is aware of the etiquette.

I was riding yesterday down a sweet descent (2000+ feet) with some gnarly switchbacks and dudeman in the RAV4 behind me was mad because I could take them faster than he could. Probably had to get his daughter to Starbucks before she started to rage at him. He passed me with plenty of space, but I knew he was mad.

Why you gotta hate on the Rav4? I have one; its not only comfortable & stylish, its also very dependable.

Shouldn't you be in class?

Did this turn into driver pricks? I was riding down Harlingen road back to home last week on a downhill section where I was going a good 28 mph (30 mph speed limit) and some lunatic honks behind me then starts screaming at me as he passes. This was a weekend early evening, too, not rush hour so I was very surprised. Just gave him the finger - I could see his enraged face in his rearview mirror.
