Cause that's what they do. I was reading the whole thing and wondering why only the first post has to do with the hurricane. Ignore them. 🙂

Nothing wrong. Anytime there is extreme weather or the possibility of such, the thread derailment percentage goes way up.
 
I say this with full respect to the members that have been on here way longer and have way more posts then me. It seems like a childish game that was never outgrown out of high school.

The 2nd post was some kind of code that maybe 10 people on the site understand. The other 3000 or so members have no idea what was said. I am pretty sure that started the thread in any direction it went.


There is some great information on this site and you guys with experience have helped me out a lot, but does anyone on this site, other then the 10 or so guys that play, gain from the game?

Sometimes we just act like idiots to bleed stress, I know I do.

I'm hearing we have a volantary evacuation going on for Saturday down here in Stone Harbor.With the possible chance of becoming mandatory.

I would guess that the vast majority of "regulars" use a smart phone of some kind to view the site. When you surf to the site via mobile, it tells you about Tapatalk, which is an app for your smart phone which allows you to browse the site through the App. At any given time, when I look at who's online, there may be anywhere up to a dozen people reading with the app.

FFT wanted to know how he could get that app for his smart phone. The reason being that he lives literally on the shore. In fact, he may live in a house boat. Or, he may actually be a lobster. He wanted to know about the app so he could post live pictures of his lobster house, or house boat, floating away. This was still on topic. He wanted to know how we could help him help you.

From there, sure, it went to shit. I can't defend the rest of it. Basically it's what people sane at work.

Dont take it personal. This is what usually happens here in the winter.... Oh, wait, its August.... :hmmm: I changed my mind, go ahead and take it personally....

I appreciate you taking the time to explain. It's not a big deal either way. I do wish there was some kind of cheat sheet or cliff notes for the codes/inside jokes 🙂
