Hello,
With the ever expanding proliferation of uber-plastics, and pixie-dust enhanced aluminums, I sometimes get to thinking that I’m sitting in a cave playing with rocks while everyone else is out discovering fire. Once in a while a thread starts where someone mentions that they are riding something made of steel and I get a warm fuzzy feeling. How many here have a steel bike as their PRIMARY off road ride? I know there are plenty of two-timers with an old 90’s hardtail hanging in the basement while the new bike gets all the love: That doesn’t count. I’d love to know how many here actually bought a new steel bike within the past few years, in the face of all the more “modern” options?
