Weekend tourguide needed

Had a great time!

Never been on any trail similar to Sourland. Most of it feels like an endless rock garden but there are a few non-technical sections.

I felt my technical skills improving as I was progressing through the trail. Plus a great workout.

gmb3 wasn't kidding when he said he had technical skills. Following his lines was the smartest thing I did all day. Skyrokz kept up very well. Considering this is his second bike ride in 10 years, he did great.

I see you guys got some riding in today, but if anyone wants to head out tomorrow I'm planning on riding six mile. I'm thinking wheels down at noon, 27 lot. As of now I'm going solo but I would be happy to show anyone around.

Thanx for the kind words dictator, i had a great time, my ass sure seen better days, i'm sore as all hell. Sourlands definately makes other trails seem easy. If you are truly a beginner like my self this is one trail i would highly recommend not going in clipless and being very careful as the trail is full of rocks, big sharp ones that will take the wheel out from under you in a second. GMB and Dictator were a great group to ride with, they waited for me since i couldn't make all the sections on bike and had to hike them. The one hill climb took my breath away, literally, the hill is like a mile long. But my skills have improved greatly which i'm sure is going to make other trails look like a piece of cake. Once again, thanx for the ride guys, hope to do it again soon.

helluva ride today. Sourlands in no-joke but super fun. I love slow technical stuff. Nice job by both Skyrokz and Dicatatorsaurus. Fasterthanliam got confused and us noobs didnt have a tourguide but the map and trailmarkers there are great. Very easy to follow. I'll be back.

hmmm thinking of riding again this weekend and hopefully learning a new NJ spot. Saturday morning or sometime sunday anyone wanna show me around 6 Mile Run or Chimney Rock? If no tourguide i might just go back to Sourlands since i think i "know it" now.

i was at 6mile last sunday after sourlands and that was a pretty cool trail, altough i only went up to the road crossing and back, sourlands killed me the day before and i was sore as hell. Let me know if you guys are doing 6mile, maybe i could tag along if i don't have to work.

Perfect Thread

I'm hoping for a tour of Ringwood or Wayway if anyone is riding one of those parks tomorrow (never been)... If not I plan on riding Blue Mountain... Thanks

There is a Jorba group ride at R'wood tomorrow morning, maybe if you ask Mare nicely she can find an open spot for you...

Hitting 6Mile Run tomorrow at 11:00 with Dictatorsaurus as a guide.

It was good to meet you, dictatorsaurus, and Spencer. Good riding today. Have to do it again sometime. Sucks for my buddy whose fork locked up in the parking lot before we even hit the trail.

Rick
