Killington Monday and Tuesday at Okemo made for a few sore bodies but we had a blast. We skied our biggest weekend yet and are looking for more! I'm already starting to eye up the Ikon pass for next year. We have Blue season passes, but after this week I think the kids will be nudging to go back to VT for more. Bonus...MOOSE SIGHTING! Only took me 46 years to see one.

Don't tell my wife. At almost 60 she thinks those moose crossing signs are phony. Even on a side trip to Yellowstone when at Big Sky we had to look through someone's telescope to see one.

Gotta go to Park City. We saw them on the daily there. Mostly on the Canyons Side.

We've had a $100 bounty on a Moose sighting in Vermont since the kids were small, still no payout.
I've been looking for so many years. I started believing those Moose crossing signs were a joke.
On the gondola on Monday at Stowe, some lady was talking about the one she saw the night before right on the mountain road.
Super fun board. Made the couple of inches feel like a lot more.
My daughter and I each rode a ton of boards at the on snow demo

Well well well. Arrived Monday at Big Sky to find 5” of fresh had fallen during the day and another 1” overnight. While we missed the Monday powder day since we didn’t arrive till about 3, today was heaven. Will be here two more days. Temps in the high 20’s and blue bird today. We’re lucky since there hadn’t been any new snow in the month or so leading up the our trip.
What are the odds?

I'm going to hit Blue tomorrow evening and then stayover and hit Montage Saturday morning. I really wanted to try to get up to Elk, but that's just a little more than my timeframe allows. Next solo trip I'll try to get there. Any thoughts on Montage? Never been. From what I've read, it looks decent.

Damnit. Just found another thread that is making me consider elk. I could do either Saturday morning. Elk is a bit pricier and more driving. Is it worth it? I’m seeing that the vibes are different and elk has more challenging terrain being the differences.

Elk is a much nicer, larger mountain than anything else in the Poconos. They do sell a 4 hour ticket.
Elk has much more to offer than blue. I think it’s worth the drive. Has an old school Vermont feel to it without being dated. Just know the lifts are not high speed.
Alta/Snowbird have been amazing the past two days.....Utah was having a rough year until I showed up.

Crazy that as of 1.5 months ago, there was basically no snow. Only the peaks had some snow. One of the worst starts of the year on record for them.
