Beautiful conditions this morning… Just this one too big for my pull hand chainsaw… White trail coming down to Tally Ho intersection.
I got to get a feel for riding my analog down part of a very chunky and leafy Green (DP down to Waterloo) with Chainsawer's heavy pack on, and of course my dropper cable malfunctioned so my seat was up. That's a lot for him to do ebike or not! I give him a lot of credit for trucking all that weight around on all these TM missions. I'll update all posts above as **CLEARED**.Tuetonic and I cleared all of the known targets today. Middle maze.. Estus hood. Border trail.. the Greenway and Waterloo South trail (other side of Waterloo road).. as always thanks to tuetonic for the help and Intel.
We didn't know about the one reported above on white.. white. Unfortunately, I won't have any cut opportunities until middle of April. Vacation brings me out of town... If somebody could get to that one I'd appreciate it!! Very easy from the Saxton falls access.
Thanks. It was windy last night so I'm not surprised. Typical of blowdowns there. They not only cross the trail in a few spots, but sometimes, they'll block both trails. I'm finding the best approach to clearing anything there is to complete the loop to be sure everything's clear. (Up Hally, down tally)Hate to report another tree down on Hally Toe. It's halfway up the mountain crossing 2 parts of the trail.
Very true. Unfortunately the next to come down are Oak trees. At this rate there can’t be many ash trees left standing??
Next on the kill list are beech trees. Soon to go the way of the ash.Very true. Unfortunately the next to come down are Oak trees.
In New Jersey, oak trees face threats from diseases like oak wilt, bacterial leaf scorch, and anthracnose.
