Going Long and Hard.

Your bike was my first thought when I saw lego Elsa this morning

I have a pretty decent collection of Elsa stuff. I asked for the big ice palace for Christmas but my wife bought me the Nightmare Before Christmas set instead. I’m gonna buy the little one when I get back and make an ITI scene, I have the bikepacking set already.

Just like Alaska, but totally different...

Also stopped by to see Revelate’s new spot and chat with Eric. Been doing business and riding products from these guys forever so it’s nice to put a face to a Company. Didn’t take pics because they literally just moved in and it looks like a bomb went off in there…

Not sure how many know already, but I put myself in the hospital last night commuting home. Front tire blew out on the last corner coming down Washington Rock.

Stopped traffic for about 20 minutes. The homeowners where I crashed came out and helped get out of the road.

I initially thought it wasn’t bad but when I couldn’t stand and my leg was clicking around I knew we had to go to RWJ.

Bunch of road rash on my left side where I slid down the hill, cracked my Pelvis clean through this time, which is a lot more painful than it sounds 😂

Also smacked the shit out my wrist, didn’t break but I can’t use it to prop myself up and that kinda sucks.

I was able to get around on a walker with an armrest so they opted to not do surgery. Took me almost 30 minutes to walk from the car to door and then my 2 boys had to carry me up the porch.

Not sure how long I’m out for, this is a pretty bad injury for a cyclist so we need to make sure to do it right.

Dude that totally sucks. 300+ miles in Alaska and you wipe out at home.

At least you’re at a high level of fitness to help with rehab and recovery. Get well soon.
