24-25 Ski and Snowboard Thread

Thinking of trying Windham on Monday to get my season started. Hoping Friday and this weekend give them time to get enough new coverage from the snow guns. Will check conditions Sunday.

Some A/T laps at prospect yesterday, and one today at mount snow before riding the lift for a few hours. Waiting for the ski bowl at Gore to open to be able to hike there too. I re-ignighted my passion for skiing with getting back into touring.

Add hickory ski center to your tour list. 0 snow making though so it’s not always in play. 30-60 mins up to the top. IMG_5287.jpeg

Isn't Windham a private members-only resort now?

The non members can still go but tickets are limited. Ikon is also accepted but reservations required. I would only bother on weekdays. Weekends are a madhouse.

Def on my list. It’s 20 min from where we stay and pass it on our way to whiteface. Hickory looking at it from below gives me butterflies of excitement with the steepness. It stands very prominent as soon as you come over the river.

If it keeps going the way that it has been with weather, should be able to attack it Jan 10-13th is timeframe.

Apparently there is a group of people still maintaining what’s left of the old Snow Bowl ski area across the road from Mahlon Dickerson. Who knew?

hell lets start up craig mier again! i learned to ski there when i was a wee lad
