Wildcat Ridge WMA Conditions

Is someone dumping glass on the trails? Junkyard Squirrel, Odin's Ladder and Yellow Blaze all have glass on them. I'm used to glass on JS, but there seems to be more and much more spread out.

I have noticed the glass on those trails recently but assumed it was always there and now working its way up through the dirt?

I haven't really been riding here lately. Just checking in to see if there are any trees down that need to be taken care of. Please post pictures if you can and location. I'll do my best to get out there and handle them asap.

There was one down on green stream trail. Coming from the road it was a little before the wild blue bridge. Assuming it’s still there.

A double tree down on Oreland.. see photo and location.

Tree down across the go-round trail section entrance on the Oreland railtrail. The little side trail that gets around the swampy section just before you get to the Oreland Trail turn off.

Anyone riding in the wildcat area in the next few days...

Missing Husky.

Lost since last night. Name is Kaia. Very friendly. Call Melissa 973-216-2958.
Escaped around Archer Drive and Meriden Road. Frantically searching since midnight. Kaia is chipped and will happily jump in your car.

UPDATE: Dog home and safe.

Just an FYI... The last 2 weekends (Sunday) I've had a large group (5-10) of people on Eduro bikes (the motor kind) riding the Beach Glen Trail from the race track towards New Way Down. Just happened to be out with my dogs this past Sunday and talked to them. They were stopped with the bikes off just BSing. Real cool dudes, all different ages and actually very good riders. You could barely tell them came through. They said that WC is not their regular spot, just checking it out. As I've spent plenty of time in gas-powered vehicles over the years, I'm not about to admonish anyone. I asked nicely to not come back regularly and exercise good throttle control. Hopefully it's just a spring fling.
