A quick glance shows these available in the states. Looks like they must be governed to 25mph (until they are not)

Im sure they would not win any awards for speed or crash testing.

The way I look at it, it’s just as dangerous as a motorcycle. I’d love to get ice cream with the kids or do stuff like that. Take it to a bike race and camp the night before in the parking lot in it.

You can import them yourself for 5-7k. It’s just a lengthy process. Buying state side you get to inspect it yourself and not do the homework of getting a title.

They aren’t governed but probably max out about 60mph

I’ve learned from a few that the ones with no title, do not even bother. If one character is misspelled on any of the documents you just bought one you’ll never be able to register

both NJ and NC are fine to register these, hell down in NC they have no restrictions... I think they realize you're a fool if you try and keep up with the Altimas doing 100mph on 485

Would be a fun toy for sure I have seen the pickup AWD version at a few trail heads with bike racks mounted in the bed.

I’d think the van would make more practical sense for more passengers and stuff and like mentioned above to drive the fam to get ice cream but I’d be worried to try and take any of these on the Highway vs the bro dozers and mall crawlers

Just beware that there is some push back to revoke registrations on Kei cars. NJ hasn't dealt with it in any capacity so far.

So they revoked them in GA and people are unloading them, makes it even more of a tease to buy one….
