If it keeps spreading we might have to change your name to Thanos.😉Yeah, my wife is telling me to go to urgent care. It doesn't hurt but things are turning purple that definitely shouldn't be.

So you impaled yourself but didn’t notice anything strange?I had just gotten back from a ride and was breaking sticks for a campfire. Noticed I "scratched" my leg and was bleeding, but I am always bleeding from my legs when I get back from a ride (gotta love flat pedals with screws). Built campfire, stacked wood, and then went in to clean up. While I was showering I noticed something strange under the skin. Dried off and got dressed, asked my wife for help extracting a splinter. Only problem is the splinter is more than an inch long and for some reason a half inch from the puncture wound. First emergency clinic is closed, find a second one on the way to the closest ER. After sitting in the emergency clinic for three hours, the doc created another hole closer to the object and pulled this sucker out.
I guess they need to change nursery rhyme the line to:I had just gotten back from a ride and was breaking sticks for a campfire. I assumed i scratched myself and because the piece of wood embedded i couldn't see anything beyond the puncture hole.So you impaled yourself but didn’t notice anything strange

While we waited at the emergency clinic my wife bought some tweezers, needles, and alcohol pads so we could try to remove it ourselves (no dice)

I'm fortunate not to have had to post here... you on the other hand... I feel like you frequent this thread and not as a lurker!Anyone here ever have an inguinal hernia? Just got diagnosed with one. A result of my nothing crash from 3 weeks ago. 🙁
I’ve had some recent posts but they are all due to the same injury. Unfortunately, it’s led to complications in the form of a hernia. That’s not to say I haven’t had many other injuries, including one which resulted in a helicopter ride to the ER. 😳I'm fortunate not to have had to post here... you on the other hand... That's good to know. Did you get laparoscopic surgery or did they cut you open? How long was the recovery?Sorry to hear. I had my hernia surgery about 2 years ago. Mine happened while training for a running event. It slowly got worse and worse over a few weeks. No issues or pain while biking but running really pushed me over the edge. I had the surgery after the event and never looked back.
