Cars, it's electric! Do Do Do

They should put 110v outlets in them too so people can charge ebikes and phones and other stuff. I'd like to go on a long ebike ride to a park or something and not have to find some wacky way to steal power. I've never done it because i haven't really looked where outlets are.

Everyone gonna charge their ebike bike batt in starbucks. Lets see how long that lasts.

Ebike chargers, really? My tax money is blown on enough bullshit, charge it at home. I'd rather have better bathrooms and like the other guy said and renovated campgrounds.

I don't think you understood my comment at all. It wouldn't be difficult to build 110v into these things if we are going to change the world offering electricity in parks.

Interesting skim through this thread. I was just "given" a Tesla Model S, 2017 with 60K on the clock. Had to turn in my 4Runner in order to get into the deal, was my bosses car, he just got a Lucid and passed the Tesla onto me. Been driving it for 3 weeks now and I have to say, after getting use to a sports car vs my huge SUV, it's definitely a very nice car to drive! Nice quiet interior, just the right amount of tech, plenty of power (500hp) and awesome handling. Even had a class 1 hitch installed for my bike rack. Charging took some getting use to, basically had to change my normal routine like food shopping, sales calls, etc to place me at charging stations. Once ran the thing down to 2 miles as I was pulling into a super charger, that was nail biting!! In 2017 when my company purchased the car it came with free super charging for life, which Tesla does not offer anymore. So this car basically runs for free as long as I continue super charging. This is one of two in our fleet now, the other is a 14 with just over 100K on the clock. Battery performance on that has degraded by just under 10%, which isn't bad at all for 9 years of super charging. Be interesting to see how these vehicles do as they approach 150 or 200K. So far, no major repairs at all, just one A/C hose leaked. Takes a day or two to get use to the one pedal driving, you rarely hit the brakes unless you stop completely, and with that the brakes last forever on these vehicles too. I do notice the battery life (miles) do come off quickly in the cold weather and my garage isn't heated so I can lose a few miles over night when it's cold. I'm told summer that doesn't happen as much and the battery life (miles) gets more realistic to what the car says. Charging is pretty fast, I can put 150+ miles into it in about 30 minutes so even if I'm in between sales calls I use that time to catch up on paperwork and emails. Overall it's a different driving experience, a fun one at that too. 20221109_105803.jpg

You mention hardly using the brakes. I was actually reading there's issues with people with early model Teslas having the brake calipers seize up/rust as the brakes haven't been used in years.
