Lousy zippers on expensive jackets!
My Big Agnus Meaden jacket zipper jams, sent it back to them to repair, they only charge $5 to fix it, BUT $38 shipping costs to get it there and back. Now after two months it's bad again and can't be fixed. This is on a $400 retail jacket.
Next Gore C5 Shakedry waterproof light rain jacket zipper fail after three years, original cost $300 retail
Both these zippers are the crappy plastic zippers. There should be something better on these hi-end jackets! 😡

i have a favorite jacket thats older (bontrager I think) and the chest pocket zipper broke. took it to the local cleaners and for $15 they replaced the zipper in 2 days.

What iman29 said. Have the local cleaner put on a YKK brass zipper. They last longer than the jacket.

much rather they leave it in the bag then just on the trail, last week I hit some dog diarrhea on a trail at the Tourne another place that is known for nonsense, and had to cut my ride short as I was covered in it.

I can't stand the bags mind you, but it does help see it and not get sprayed with it if you miss it.

There is no scenario where its acceptable to leave a bag of shit behind. Sorry, but those who do this are classless assholes. This is reaching epidemic proportions. Bags of shit on every ride. In the woods, on the road, everywhere. Bags of shit when I run with my kids in the neighborhood, some of them there for weeks, inviting others to throw theirs on top. The green bags seem to be in style this season. Black was so 2021. There is a place in VT where I hike with the fam where people were hanging them from the trees trailside. Do they think the Shit Fairy comes and scoops them up at night? You're in the woods for fucksake, walk your dog 40ft into the bush and let them shit au-naturale, then let nature take its course. I question whether this bagging of shit idea should have ever been adopted. Sure, makes sense in a city, but out here its much cleaner to let nature take its course vs. preserving it in a plastic, hermetically sealed sarcophagus that lasts for weeks and allows its contents to get nice and ripe.

Not likely. We just had a regime change and I was actively supporting the ones who lost. So I get to be attacked by ants and chased by gators and pigs! Pops has 2fers by text.when they are slow they ping the locals. Time better spent.

oldest son (22) not feeling well again yesterday - 2nd PCR test in 2 weeks pending
middle son (19) woke up today with 99F and feeling like shit - heading out to get more home test kits cause he cant get out of bed right now.

the rest of us (me, wife, 15 year old) just waiting for the other shoe to drop... here we go again...

So maybe this will come off as a whining rant, and there's a lot bigger problems in the world or people's lives then this, but man I am so pissed about this.

I moved to my current house in 2003. Back in 2008 I got a certified letter out of nowhere from the town telling me I had a "property maintenance ordinance violation" due to the sidewalk being uneven in front of my property. This was being caused by the huge tree between the sidewalk and the curbline planted by the town back when the house was built. For reference, back then and even now this scenario is true for nearly every other house in my development. After weeks of debate with the town, including appealing this with the town council, and taking 50 pictures of other sidewalks in the neighborhood, and the fact this condition existed LONG before I owned the house, the town council rejected my appeal and threatened me and my neighbor with a Lein on the property if I didnt fix it. To add insult to injury, I had to pay for some "tree fund" after I had the tree cut down. IN the end this cost me over $5000 to cut down the tree (which turned out to be dying), get rid of the mulch and replace the sidewalk. All this with 3 young kids and struggling with my job nearly getting laid off. The town rejected my position that they planted the tree so they should remove it and fix the damage. I even offered to split the costs. complete BS.

Fast forward to last night my neighbor asked me if I got the letter about the town tree removal plans. Then he shows me this letter. I didnt get one because.... I dont have a tree/sidewalk issue any more.

I dont know what magic fairy came along and enlightened them but now they are going to remove trees and fix sidewalks FOR FREE!! W the actual F???!!

I still have all the details from the meetings and emails I saved. I have a good mind to contact the town and ask for my refund, but they will probably use my email for a good laugh.

I would reach out to the town and see if they can refund you of some of the expenses at least. Worth trying but probably won't work. Good luck.
