The Guitar Player Thread.

First round attempt. These guys ain't screwing around on this Album. I spent 2 days with this in GP at 50% to get the notes and timing but it's not close to clean enough for IG yet. Dean will see it and make fun of me.

🤘 sounding pretty tight already and you literally just got the music. Kudos for even attempting shit on that level.

I am forcing myself to get back at it and just ordered a focusrite. I need to just be able to plug in without spending my entire practice time fidgeting with gear. In unfortunate circumstances I also now have space to fully build my Roland drums and studio gear back up… need to see what I can get away with in the apartment but desktop guitar is gonna be clutch.

The Computer setup is so dope. The ability to switch presets with a fingertip is a game changer. Especially if you're like me and cover a pretty wide range during practice time. A strat and an 8-string do not sound good through the same amp.

Yea just going from my Les Paul to my Kiesel means turning way too many knobs. I always end up fucking with tone more than playing and such is the curse of being a sound engineer…. Looking forward to just having a few presets I can click through.

I don't get relics. You actually pay more to make it look like an old instrument? Just changing strings and admiring how well my old friend has aged.

Gibson and Fender charge some pretty hefty prices for their relics. I imagine that the people that buy them are the same people that buy a $400k Ferrari, stick it in a nice garage with other Ferraris, and never drive it.

There’s a huge market for ripped jeans if nobody noticed.

I was at a hard rock in Mexico and they had a relic strat in my room and it’s actually the only strat I’ve ever jived with. Could have been the tequila tho.
