Strictly METAL

Saw them in September, they opened for Lamb of God and Megadeth. Meh........
I agree...meh live...and I've seen them a few times..... I like some of their songs on albums, but I dont think they sound anything close when they play live....

Ascendancy my fav album

same consensus. I saw them open for Machine Head and Lamb of God years ago and they did not impress....but they do have some tasty riffs on record.

Also, Machine Head! Another Vocal/Guitarist I forgot.

Stop whatever you're doing today and check this shit out!! Cameron from Born of Osiris dropped a solo album, plays all of the instruments, and it's like progcore on steroids. It's the album I wished Lee McKinney dropped...

@jimvreeland i haven’t listened yet but just saw Lee dropped a new solo album. Let me know if it sucks as bad as the last one. I expect a bunch of pointless noodling and saxophones. It’s funny he’s one of my favorite guitarists and I fucking hate him at the same time. I swear Cameron had to have wrote all of the good BOO albums.

Last Tuesday

Light the torch. August burns red. Killswitch at Terminal 5 in the City.

Killswitch guitar Joel S had Covid so peeps from the other bands chipped in and played the rhythm section on different songs.

Howard Jones joined KE at the end for three songs. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻78BAD6A8-2630-4C5A-AC34-A40388519F1C.jpegFC74FBF1-CD02-454B-94D7-5726E3AC4D88.jpeg7F44492C-AAD1-4CF3-A729-FDA6462AB634.jpeg

It’s cool that Howard and KE are still so tight. August Burns Red is always so good, haven’t seen them in years.

TOOL + THE ACID HELPS @ Pru

Had not seen them live before. Expensive nose bleed seats
I prob won’t see them live again ….
I was there. I agree that I probably won’t see them again.
I've been going to arena shows since 1984, and I can confidently say that the upper level at the Rock is the worst I've ever experienced. Super steep, and lots of seats with seriously compromised views. I was there for Tool when they first toured for the current record, and the view from our seats was horrendous. And of course, the price of all arena-show tickets has been obscene for a long time now.

That being said, I've seen Tool several times, going back to Aenima, and I've always been mesmerized by their live show. Would certainly see then again.

I was there as well. Not a huge fan and only knew a few songs but the show a was good overall. Was Maynard actual on the stage..LOL??
Never seen a show where cameras were banned to such an extant.
This was the 2nd most I've ever paid for a ticket at 200 but I was on the floor so maybe it was worth it.
Caught them once in 97 at Asbury.
