Car-spotting thread

Stewart & Stevenson LMTV not sure if it’s a 1078 or 1079. I have always wanted one of these to convert to an overlander

im sure its going to perform awesome, but im not blown away by how it sounds....especially with that ginamatic soundtrack...hopefully they offer a manual.

sure would be nice, but based on what iv heard gms not interested in spending the money to put a manual in the current gen since they didnt sell enough of them in the last go round . . . :(

The C8 is already a game changer, the Z06 even more so. It’s going to give all those high-dollar supecars a run for their money. It looks good, sounds amazing, and has the power. As such, a manual makes no sense (even though I prefer manuals). Huracans, Ferraris, R8’s, AMG GT’s, McLarens, etc., all have had sequential gearbox boxes for years now, and those are who the Z06 is meant to compete with. I especially look forward to this car taking it to the Porsche snobbery.

Also, have you ever seen what it takes to do a clutch on a newer Ferrari (F50)? The rear of the car has to be removed.
Clutch Replacement for Ferrari F50: ThingsCutInHalfPorn

Knowing how many people will toast a clutch in a Corvette (not the 50+ year olds who don't exceed 3K RPM) it is probably a good thing to keep it automatic.

Ha, that car is almost 25yrs old now! I would hope Ferrari makes their modern cars more serviceable (somehow I doubt it). The F50 may be my favorite Ferrari, I used to see one almost every day on my way home from work in the 90’s up on Rt 17 in Mahwah. And this 50yr old takes his manual shit up to red line (bike, car) almost every drive, the old Italian tune up, blow the carbon off of those valves.

The old guy who owned Hytorc in Mahwah had a nice collection of cars. I think he passed away, but had Ferrari, Pantera, and other nice ones.

I googled Hytorc owner cars and this thread came up:
Probably was his F50.
