No masks inside either. It used to drive my neighbor's wife crazy. At the beginning she used to just say it was their little friends bubble, but that eventually changed to "we're all going to catch Covid anyway so we'll just pretend it's life as usual." Surprisingly only two of their friends ended up on ventilators. One still has issues.

Were any lessons learned from this little adventure?

My in-laws lost a childhood friend recently. The 50ish yo son of another died as well. He had an opportunity to get the vaccine (they had extra the day his parents got theirs) and he declined.

My b-i-l is apparently not planning to get it. His adult son caught COVID (because he works in an f'ing gym). B-i-l has decided he had it with no symptoms and therefore doesn't need the vaccine. Can't wait to hear the mental gymnastics from a billion facebook memes or OAN or whatever nonsense.

I'm really tempted to lean in but my wife would kill me.

Anyway, all the older people at my company are getting the vaccine so nothing looks suspicious. They're arranging in-site 'vaccinations' for the younger people. Didn't your sister mention her company is doing in-person too? They're big in the 5G world. See what I'm talking about?"

Pretty sure I can go on for some time like this. Lots of word salad with technical terms thrown in. Maybe some Killary references ("Where do you think that nickname came from? she was all in!")

Using the numbers (e.g. 5,666 for FLA) for the previous day from worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us, the new case rate is about 44% over the national average. Unless this is fake math---LMK.

New cases FL 5311
New cases NJ 2182
Based on population, FL = 0.59% higher

Daily deaths FL 55
Daily deaths NJ 33
Based on population, NJ = 45% higher

NJ man doesn't understand population proportionality! :popcorn:

The Queen is 24 hours out - had a +1F fever, and tired. No chills. A little ache and pain, but tylenol did the trick.
