Car-spotting thread

Was just looking at this.

Put a 60hp 4-stroke outboard on the boat last year. ended up costing about $15k installed -
comparable battery version $25k not installed. And i'm not so sure about mixing electricity and water like that.....

Would consider it for stern-drive tho.

I think electric boats are a great idea for fishing - quiet is best. Plus all that noise and exhaust (even with a 4 stroke) gets annoying. I'd consider something like this when we will be seriously boat shopping in a few years:

When is Tesla going to start making boats??

Finally got the mustang out last night for its first real drive.... now that I got the clutch and transmission working properly I finally got around to start playing the carburetor which after 6 years in a box is not happy. So I replaced the a accelerator pump nozzles as they were leaking... Diaphragm... Seamed to run a better but not great off idle.

Washed the car for the first time in like 7 years... Thanks to @Carson for the towels and soap recommendations, worked awesome.

Put the family in the car and said if it makes it a few miles without breaking we'll keep going to the cruise night.... It made it, but on the way it was really running rough... Going to try replacing the needles and reseting the float bowls next.... All and all a great night out

When the power valve diaphram starts to go bad, it could be running way too rich. If you can turn the mixture screws all the way in its mostly likey the problem. Assuming floats and levels are correct.

@Dingo

So when I got it home friday night, I cracked open the float level port on the primary side and fuel was GUSHING out....so yesterday first thing I did was start by setting the bowl height, but I decided to take the needles out and inspect them....Glad I did, the o-rings were damaged and im pretty sure fuel was leaking past them. I put 2 new needles in, set the floats...and boom, running nice now.

My son just cracks me up bc I remember my dad doing this with me......except I got to sit in the front seat..no seat belts....god I used to get to ride on his lap and steer now that I think about it.

Took bob to a car show at the hot rod farm in montville yesterday. Some cool stuff.
